Thanks to the application of various treatments, the FRIESLAND Wood Carport can resist insect attacks, UV rays, rain, snow and extreme temperatures, without requiring much maintenance.

A robust solid treated wood structure

Non-stained autoclave finish

Made from solid Northern Pine naturally dried wood, the green hues of the FRIESLAND Freestanding Wood Carport in its non-stained version come from the effect of its autoclave treatment. The latter has the advantage of being both a powerful insecticide and fungicide.

This water-phase impregnation treatment thus acts as a powerful protector against the attack of wood-boring insects and termites, and is also effective and durable against the development of mold and fungi in humid conditions.

Stained autoclave finish

In its stained version, the FRIESLAND Wood Carport has also undergone an autoclave treatment, followed by a stain and a high-end paint. Thus, its structure benefits from an effective and UV-resistant protection against any wood bluing without concealing the aesthetics of its natural grain.

This also has the effect of greatly limiting the expansion and contraction of the material under the effect of weather variations. All profiles undergo a stain bath twice, to develop optimal protective qualities, followed by brushing to ensure the removal of any excess.

To keep your carport looking like new, we recommend applying a new autoclave treatment and stain at the very end of summer, then every 4 or 5 years, to maintain the longevity of the wood on your car shelter.

Two types of roof to suit your needs

The flat roof of the FRIESLAND Freestanding Wood Carport is surrounded by a wooden fascia topped by an aluminum frame, with a slight slope inclination of 1.2°. It comes in two types of covering, each with its own characteristics and specificities according to your needs.

The Aluminum Roof

The Aluminum Roof is made up of trapezoidal raw aluminum profiles. It offers excellent protection against bad weather (hail, snow) and possible impacts (falling tree branches). In the event of intense heat, its solid surface shows great resistance to material deformation caused by high temperatures.

The Wood Roof with EPDM Membrane

Made up of 19mm thick wooden planks covered with a waterproof rubber membrane, the Wood Roof with EPDM Membrane offers better acoustic insulation quality in the event of heavy rain.

EPDM rubber offers the advantage of being a highly resistant, durable and waterproof material, thanks to its elasticity. In addition to its sound absorption capabilities, this roof covering is able to withstand extreme temperatures during freezing or heatwave periods.

EPDM membranes therefore have no risk of roof oxidation thanks to their perfect waterproofing and excellent UV protection. Easy to install, simply glue the pre-assembled roof delivered using the adhesive specially provided for this purpose.

A solid anchoring system

The anchoring system of the FRIESLAND Freestanding Wood Carport ensures a stable and solid fixing of the posts at your installation site. Its raised design is conceived to prevent any deterioration of the wood at its base due to rainwater runoff or ground moisture.

It consists of H-shaped anchor profiles, made of flat galvanized steel with a length of 60cm.

They are secured using concrete anchoring in the foundations made beforehand according to your ground configuration.

Thanks to this process, the FRIESLAND Wood Carport is able to withstand winds of up to 0.95 kN/m².

Warranties

Our wood carports are guaranteed for 5 years on the wood, the construction as well as the stability when assembled and maintained as indicated in the documents from our partner factory.

The maximum snow load for this wood carport is 1.25 kN/m², given that a snow load of 0.75 kN/m² is generally considered fully satisfactory. For installations located in high mountain areas, we still recommend that you contact your local municipality for more information on the subject.

Hello Ms Debias,
The carport was assembled following the instructions provided with the materials. The materials were delivered in accordance with the conversation I had with the German logistics service. Everything was in good condition.
We had a little difficulty with the post foundation bases, but apart from that, the rest was completed without too many difficulties.
The final result is very good, as shown in the photos on the website.
I would have one suggestion: include a few spare screws, bolts, etc. All the hardware was present with just the exact quantity needed. It sometimes happens that one of the elements gets lost or broken.
My overall rating is 4.
