With its elegant design, our wood carport for two vehicles adds aesthetic value to your property while providing reliable protection for your vehicles.

Thanks to the application of various treatments, the FRIESLAND XL Wood Carport can resist insect attacks, UV rays, rain, snow and extreme temperatures, without requiring much maintenance.

A robust solid treated wood structure

Non-stained autoclave finish

Made from solid Northern Pine naturally dried, the green hues of the FRIESLAND XL Freestanding Wood Carport in its non-stained version come from the effect of its autoclave treatment. The latter has the advantage of being both a powerful insecticide and fungicide.

This aqueous-phase impregnation treatment acts as a powerful protector against the attack of wood-boring insects and termites, and is also effective and durable against the development of mould and fungi in damp conditions.

Autoclave-treated stained finish

In its stained version, the FRIESLAND XL Wood Carport has also undergone an autoclave treatment, followed by a stain and a premium paint. As a result, its structure benefits from effective and UV-resistant protection against any bluing of the wood without concealing the aesthetics of its natural grain.

This also greatly limits the expansion and contraction of the material under the effect of weather variations. All profiles undergo a stain bath twice to develop optimal protective qualities, followed by brushing to eliminate any excess.

To keep your carport looking as good as the first day, we recommend applying a new autoclave treatment and stain at the very end of summer and then every 4 or 5 years, in order to maintain the longevity of the wood of your car shelter.

Two types of roofing to suit your needs

The flat roof of the FRIESLAND XL Freestanding Wood Carport is surrounded by a wooden fascia topped with an aluminium frame, with a gentle slope of 1.2°. It comes in two types of covering, each with their own characteristics and specifications depending on your needs.

The Aluminium Roof

The Aluminium Roof is made up of raw aluminium trapezoidal profiles. It offers excellent protection against bad weather (hail, snow) and potential impacts (falling tree branches). In intense heat, its solid surface shows great resistance to material deformation caused by high temperatures.

The Wood Roof with EPDM Membrane

Made up of 19mm-thick wooden boards covered with a waterproof rubber membrane, the Wood Roof with EPDM Membrane offers better acoustic insulation quality in the event of heavy rain.

The EPDM rubber has the advantage of being a highly resistant, durable and waterproof material, thanks to its elasticity. In addition to its sound-absorbing properties, this roof covering is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures during frost or heatwave periods.

EPDM membranes therefore carry no risk of roof oxidation, thanks to their perfect waterproofing and excellent UV protection. Easy to install, simply glue the pre-assembled roof delivered using the adhesive specially provided for this purpose.

A solid anchoring system

The anchoring system of the FRIESLAND XL Freestanding Wood Carport ensures a stable and solid fixing of the posts at your installation site. Its raised design is conceived to prevent any deterioration of the wood at its base due to rainwater runoff or ground moisture.

It consists of H-shaped anchoring profiles, made from flat galvanised steel with a length of 60cm.

They are secured by concrete anchoring in foundations prepared beforehand according to the configuration of your ground.

Thanks to this process, the FRIESLAND XL Wood Carport is capable of withstanding winds of up to 0.95 kN/m².

Guarantees

Our wood carports come with a 5-year guarantee on the wood, construction and stability, provided that assembly and maintenance are carried out as indicated in the documents from our partner factory.

The maximum snow load for this wood carport is 1.25 kN/m², given that a snow load of 0.75 kN/m² is generally considered fully satisfactory. For installations located in high mountain areas, we nonetheless recommend that you contact your local authority for further information on this matter.
